Reception program
Office of Mobility and International Programs of the University of Barcelona.

Services
Visiting teaching or research staff stays are regulated by the following REGULATIONS, approved by the Governing Council on 11 February 2015.
The procedure begins in the department, when a UB professor invites an external professor or researcher.
If you are a teaching or external research staff and you are doing a stay at the UB, you can have UB credentials that accredit you as a visiting professor or researcher. To receive the credentials, you must fill out the form and it is essential to have the endorsement of a professor from the University of Barcelona.
These credentials allow access to a series of services at our University:
Consultation and loans in libraries
Sports Service
Catalan language courses: Language mobility welcome
Spanish language courses
UB's own email address

Medical insurance
Visiting faculty and research staff are required to take out, at their own expense, an accident insurance that includes coverage in the event of repatriation. The insurance must cover your entire time at the University of Barcelona.
The UB is not responsible for or liable for expenses in the event of an accident and the need for repatriation of visiting faculty and research staff.
You can contact the insurance company with which the UB usually collaborates: Ferrer&Ojeda Asociados Correduría de Seguros.
The documentation must be sent to the corresponding department, to the attention of the professor at the University of Barcelona who invited you, by internal mail.
It is recommended that you submit the application one month before your arrival in Barcelona to ensure that your UB credentials and welcome package are delivered on time.
