Where to go to formalize your arrival at the UB
To formalize your arrival at the University of Barcelona, you must go to the UB faculty or affiliated center where you have been accepted to study and you must present the following documentation:
- Document proving that you have been accepted for a temporary stay at the UB (letter or acceptance request signed by the person responsible for international exchanges at the center where you will study).
- Medical, accident and repatriation insurance that covers you during your stay at the UB under the conditions established in the section “Before arriving at the UB”.
Additionally, you can:
- Solve any questions you may have upon arrival or during your stay.
- Obtain information about the city and the University of Barcelona.

- If when you arrive you still do not have housing, you must go to BCU Housing.
- You must complete the registration for the subjects and other activities at the secretariat of the center where you are studying. This registration is essential to obtain the corresponding certificate at the end of your stay at the UB. Check the registration periods at the center.
- You must legally regularize your stay according to the conditions established below.
