Application and acceptance process

When your home university selects and nominates you for a temporary stay at the UB, we ask you to fill in the online application form, depending on the type of exchange.

Application form for online admission to the UB

Application form for online admission to the UB

Once you have been selected and nominated by your home university for a temporary stay at the UB, you must fill in the online application form that corresponds to the type of exchange you wish to undertake. Once you have completed the form, you should print a copy of it for subsequent procedures.

Preliminary considerations

  • Registration of your details on this form does not imply acceptance as a temporary student at the UB. You must complete the procedures required by the acceptance procedure established for your type of exchange.
  • Please consult the Academic Information section before filling in the form.
The form must be completed in CAPITAL LETTERS.
  • Modification of the registered data: if after registering your data you detect an error and you want to make a modification in the application and print it again, you must contact the person in charge of international mobility of the centre for which you have made the application. They will reply to tell you that they have modified or cancelled your previous application, as appropriate, and, if they have cancelled it, they will inform you that you can now re-register your information.
  • If you have already registered and confirmed your details, you can again print out your online application for acceptance, having entered the application code on the initial screen of the form.
  • Non-EU students must complete all the necessary acceptance procedures sufficiently in advance  to avoid delays in the processing of their visa that may prevent them from arriving in Barcelona on the scheduled dates.

Language requirements

The UB requires a minimum level of B1 in at least one of the three languages (Catalan, Spanish or English), depending on the language of the chosen subjects.

For more information, please contact the international mobility officer at the faculty or school to which you have applied.

This program allows students from the different faculties of the UB to carry out an international mobility stay for the purpose of studies with funding from the EC, under similar characteristics to those of the Erasmus program: semester or annual exchanges, exemption from paying tuition at the foreign university and recognition of courses taken abroad.

You can check what it consists of and the requirements here.
